I Love Books

The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen is a tense psychological thriller. It's a story of love, betrayal and revenge and had more twists than a roallercoaster! You are drawn in from the first line and kept on the edge and guessing through out the whole story. Can't go the story much or I will give it away!! 
This magical set of authors pair so well together and did such a fantastic job! The flow of the story is great and the characters are well developed and complex. 
Of course ALL my book reading friends are talking about this little gem and I, too, highly recommend this book! Just don't start this book on a work night!! So, grab a drink, get comfortable and be prepared for an all-nighter!!

I love Sandra Dallas and was not disappointed with her new book. 
A very touching,sweet Historical Romance, it is very well written,  
has an interesting plot and endearing characters. 
Fans of Sandra Dallas will not be disappointed!

Those words are what kinda grabbed me and made me want to read this book. With lots of friends and family who are vets, I understand the effects of PTSD.

Enjoyed the book a lot, although at times a bit troubling. Grabbed me from the beginning and had trouble putting it down. Well written with very descriptive prose, Leicester works to bring forward the very important issue of the effects of PTSD in veterans.  Worth the time to read!

A Historical Fiction, the Story takes place in the Appalachians of North Carolina in the 1940s. This book is beautifully written with a plot that grabbed me from the first word and well developed characters that I fell in love with. When you look at the cover of this book don't let it fool you! The cover does not do the book justice!

and if you like to believe in magic, you should read it! 
The story was well written and the relationships between 
characters so special. I adored the characters!

What a suprise this book was!

It's About an English girl who's father dies and while cleaning out 

his house, she finds a returned letter to an Italian woman in a 

small town in Tuscany he fell in love with during the war while 

hiding out after his plane had crashed and he was wounded. 

She goes there to find out any information she can about that 

time and maybe just heal at the same time. 
Very well written and handles switching between 1973 and 

1944 very well. Loved the culture and the description of the 

scenery and the food...the food had me drooling! 

Loved all the characters.especially the Italian lady who 

rents the room to the main character..she was my favorite!

The only thing bad about this book was, I couldn't put it down to get
anything done!!! I loved it! The ending was a bit abrupt and
choppy but the writing was well done and the story line fantastic! 
It was a different take on the sinking of the Titanic,
focusing less in the main ship sinking, and more on the rescue of 
3 main characters. It covers their lives before and after the tragedy
and how it affected them.  Very well done!

Really good book about marriage, friendship, life, mental illness

and decisions. Really enjoyed the book...... liked the

writing style, the plot and the character development.

Hard to believe it was a first time writer.

• A quick read but packing a punch. It's 1882 and Seventeen-year-old Christina, after the death of her twin brother, can't face life as it now is and runs away to board the SS Asia. She always runs when life gets hard, but little does she know she is about to meet the biggest challenge her life will ever know. The ship hits rough waters and sinks leaving young Christina and another passenger, Duncan, the only 2 survivors. Christina must find strength she didn't know she had to survive. The loss of life made this disaster, in terms of loss of life from the sinking of a single vessel, the eighth-worst tragedy in the history of the Great Lakes. Very well written loved the story line, (based on fact) and loved the characters.

This was such a beautifully well written book, I read it in one day. Very touching perspective of ALS from both the patients and caregivers side, but also about the power of forgiveness. The characters were so strong and well rounded, and yet had that tragic human touch to them that made you want to cry with them. By the end I was left spent crying in my Kleenex, touched to my soul, and felt a better person for reading this little gem.

A very well written psychological thriller. Was excited to read this book from all I had heard about it from my book reading friends, and I was not disappointed! Lots of twisty curves in the plot, which I love. A new author that came out with a bang, and I will be on the lookout for more from her.
